The Bazaar Christmas Extravaganza is once again in the beautiful barn at The Plough Inn. This winter from Friday 18th until Sunday 27th November (Closed Monday 21st November). This is our showcase event and will have complete winter collections. Scroll to the end for details and map

This year we will also be doing two other Bazaar events in the South East. We have two new, and equally amazing venues and so can offer more opportunities to come and see us! One is a 3 day show in the 15th Century Barn Chapel in West Malling and the other is a nine day show at the Walled Nursery in Hawkhurst. We will be setting up in the Victorian Vinery after a successful outdoor event there during the summer.  For further details of these please look on our events page.

                                                                                 
We have been in India again this year, to bring lots of exciting new products.  Whilst there we took a trip across Northern India (with our two small children that we now have!) to Calcutta and Orissa to search for Ikat weaving. Some of the master weavers Ikat bed covers have been added to our collection and they are truly beautiful. We hope to see some of the Ikat in next years clothing.

There is a very rural and restricted area near the Pakisthan border, where we travel each year, obtaining special permits to enter. In tiny "Dhanis", or hamlets, families live in the middle of the desert in mud huts. We are working hard to develop new designs, to ensure these families have regular income through Bazaar. They cobble together the most beautiful wall hangings, all made from snippets of recycled fabrics.

These wall hangings are very affordable, completely gorgeous and we have used them to make all sorts of other products like cushion covers, bags, covered sketch books and photo albums. These people have much to teach us about recycling and living, and they think we have much to teach them, as every time we visit, the local school teacher allows all the children to run out of school and follow us!

The winter clothing range is already being snapped up by our wholesale customers. We have some gorgeous recycled silk as always and some new warm jackets made from blankets and Indian shawls. The scarves are so plentiful, there is something for everyone.

Our signature flower pendants, all set in silver with semi precious stones are now in, and this year Jo has added some emeralds and rubies into the mix...and some beaded stone necklaces dotted with gold.

Alongside all our other gifts, jewellery, and textiles we are looking forward to putting on a really exciting show.

Our special invites are always a talking point. We normally post them out 3 weeks before the event so at the moment the design is a well kept secret!
