Vintage Gold Zari Wall Hanging

One off gold zari embroidered wall hanging 35cm x 160cm.
100% hand stitched Gold Zari thread with red couching on dark backing. 
 
This is the most valuable and collectable of our embroidered hangings. Each stich is done by hand; the patches are stitched by Muslim ladies who originally wear this embroidery in their everyday choli tops. These tops eventually end up with our tailors who carefully select complimentary patches to put together these absolutely gorgeous textiles.
Handmade in the Rajasthani desert out of recycled materials. The men in the family select the patches and paste them down on to the backing cloth with gum, the embroidery is then handed to the women of the family who hand stitch the patches on to the backing.
